Holiday Cheer @ Thanksgiving Potluck

For more than a decade, Atlanta Habitat has gathered for our annual Employee Potluck Thanksgiving Lunch, and this year was no exception! This beloved tradition brings our team together to share delicious food, laughter, and camaraderie.

As always, the organization provided the holiday staples, ham and turkey, while staff members showcased their culinary talents with signature dishes.  

This gathering is more than just a meal — it’s a chance to pause from our busy schedules, connect with teammates we may not see every day, and celebrate the spirit of gratitude and community that defines Atlanta Habitat.  

Of course, no Thanksgiving potluck would be complete without a little friendly competition! HR kept the energy high with exciting games and cash prizes. Keep reading.

• Daniel’s legendary macaroni and cheese (always fashionably late, but worth the wait!)
• Corliss’s savory cabbage
• Don’s BBQ sausage
• CP’s candied yams
• Jimmy’s scallop potatoes
• Tia’s collard greens
• Nicole’s Broccoli rice casserole
• Nary’s vegetable noodle dish
• Kaitlin’s chicken pot pie soup
• Joe’s corn soufflé
• Melissa’s festive kale salad
• Antti’s smoked salmon
• Stefanie’s garlic focaccia
• Naro’s seafood pasta salad
• Darrel’s colorful and flavorful Watergate salad
• Lots of desserts

This year’s lineup for staff games and competition included:

• Oreo Challenge – Move an Oreo from your forehead to your mouth using only facial movements!
• Nuts & Bolts Stacking – Precision and patience with chopsticks!
• Candy Toss – A brand-new fan favorite that ended in a thrilling tie-breaker between the guys and the girls. In the end, girl power prevailed, with Aurreeshae and Kaitlin taking home the win!
