Carter Work Project
For the first time since 1988, the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project will return to Atlanta!
The Carter Work Project Legacy
For decades, the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project has brought volunteers, partners, and housing advocates together to build homes, spotlighting the power of safe, affordable housing and the impact of community-led action.
Coming to Atlanta in 2026
For the first time since 1988, the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project returns to Atlanta.
From May 3–8, 2026, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity will unite volunteers, partners, and affordable housing advocates to blitz build 24 new single-family homes and townhomes in just five days. This milestone event will kick off construction at Langston Park, Atlanta Habitat’s newest master-planned community in historic Sylvan Hills in southwest Atlanta.
Introducing Langston Park
Langston Park represents a bold step forward in expanding affordable homeownership. This development will introduce modern, sustainable townhome-style living for the first time in Atlanta Habitat’s history. Langston Park is near MARTA, the Atlanta Beltline, and green spaces, helping families thrive in a safe, stable, and connected community.
