Atlanta Habitat ReStore's Annual Earth Day DIY Contest!

It's time for our Annual Earth Day DIY contest, and we're calling on YOU to feature your upcycling talents! ReStore supporters, donors, and volunteers alike are all invited to share your recent ReStore purchases and vote for your favorites this Earth Day (April 22, 2026). We had so much fun looking through all the submissions last year, that we decided to make two distinct categories for submission this year: Design & Decor Showcase or DIY Creations. Shoppers in store and ReStore followers online will vote on contest submissions and the top two winners in each category will receive prizes!

The contest will open on Earth Day, April 22nd and all entries must be submitted by May 30th to be considered. Our staff will feature entries in store and online the week of June 1–June 6, and winners will be announced on Tuesday, June 9th.

How to Enter

1. Get to Work!

Have a project that's been sitting in your garage for far too long? Well, now is the time to get creative! Don't have a product feature or DIY project ready for judgement yet? Now is the perfect time to visit us in store and shop for your future winning creation. Our staff is happy to help get you started!

2. Submit Photos!

Submit your favorite projects anytime between April 22–May 30. Remember, there are two different categories this year and contestants are allowed one entry per category, so make sure you feature the best of the best!

Design & Decor Showcase — Selections of ReStore purchases styled in your space. Small or large, show us what you got from the ReStore and how you made it POP in your own home, office, or patio. We want to see your magazine-worthy designs and the unique ways your ReStore purchases elevated your space!

DIY Creations — Calling all before & after photos! Did you re-imagine a ReStore product in a new and fun way? Did you re-paint, polish or perfect a "hidden treasure"? We want to see your creative re-designs!

Use the form below to submit your entries, or email them directly to restore@atlantahabitat.org. Be sure to add in a description of your project to explain your creation, as applicable.

3. Get Out and Vote!

Campaigning is encouraged! Be sure to share your entry on your own socials, and also tag us @atlantarestore on Instagram so we can re-share your project. Voting will take place from June 1–June 6, both in store and online, so be sure to check back and cast your vote for the winners!

4. Prizes!

The top two winners from EACH category will win a ReStore gift card! 1st place = $100, 2nd place = $50. Our contest winners will be announced on Tuesday, June 9th!

The Fine Print

Participants must submit their photo entries by May 30th to be considered. Only one submission, per category, per participant is allowed, and subsequent entries will not be considered. Before pictures are preferred, and at least one photo of final product placement or project is required. Atlanta Habitat employees are NOT eligible for participation. Winners must present in person at the Atlanta or South Fulton ReStores to claim their prize, and a photo ID will be required.
