Sylvan Hills Community Kickback: Celebrating Carter Work Project Launch
October 13, 2025

Atlanta Habitat hosted a Community Kickback to officially announce the Carter Work Project to neighbors in Sylvan Hills, families who will be directly impacted by the exciting changes ahead.
Despite the heat, spirits were high as families, kids, and even a few furry friends gathered beneath a shaded tent to celebrate this milestone moment.
Guests enjoyed refreshing King of Pops while our VP of Housing and Development Brian Findley unveiled the renderings for Langston Park, Atlanta Habitat’s newest master planned community. Twenty-four of the 64 homes will be constructed during the Carter Work Project (May 3-8, 2026).
These designs reflect the voices of Sylvan Hills residents, thanks to six community visioning meetings facilitated by Atlanta Habitat Neighborhood Engagement Director Tia McCoy. Tia also led a lively Q&A session at the event, ensuring that neighbors were heard and informed.
Atlanta Habitat has been a proud partner, neighbor, and investor in Sylvan Hills since 1994. Over the past 31 years, we’ve helped 120 families through first-time home purchases and home preservation programs.
Langston Park marks a bold step forward—introducing sustainable, townhome-style living for the first time in our history. With access to MARTA, the Beltline, and nearby green spaces, Langston Park will offer families a safe, stable, and connected community.
We remain committed to revitalizing Sylvan Hills with courtesy, respect, and deep-rooted partnership.
