Shop the Halls: A New Holiday Tradition at the Atlanta Habitat ReStore

This year, the Atlanta Habitat ReStore launched something new -- Shop the Halls, our first-ever outdoor holiday marketplace.  

Inspired by the city’s love for festival-style markets, Shop the Halls celebrated the season while uplifting 18 local entrepreneurs, including several Atlanta Habitat homeowners who are small business owners. The energy of the day was undeniable!

The creativity and passion of our vendors filled the marketplace with an incredible variety of goods: handmade jewelry, candles, clothing, shoes, books, home décor, plants, skincare products, original art, handcrafted gifts, tumblers, journals, wreaths, centerpieces and more.

Behind the scenes, the Atlanta ReStore team worked tirelessly for weeks to process and merchandise the Christmas décor and to create space for vendors and the pop-up online store.  

While the parking lot was transformed into a lively marketplace, shoppers inside the ReStore enjoyed a full day of activities. Kids delighted in live face painting and a custom Atlanta Habitat coloring book. Adults joined the fun, too, with complimentary popcorn, coffee, cocoa, and an in-store scavenger hunt to find hidden ornaments redeemable for ReStore gift cards.

“This was such a fun event for us to host for the Reynoldstown community. We hope to make this an annual event!” said ReStore Director, Megan McCabe.
