Rosalyn Merrick Named a 2026 "Women Making a Mark" Honoree by Atlanta Magazine

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity president and CEO Rosalyn Merrick was recognized as one of Atlanta Magazine’s 2026 “Women Making a Mark” honorees at an awards brunch hosted at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. She is also featured in the June 2026 issue of Atlanta Magazine.

The annual “Women Making a Mark” program celebrates women across metro Atlanta whose leadership, service and professional achievements have made a significant impact on the community. Honorees are recognized for their dedication to their profession and the community at large.

“Rosalyn’s leadership reflects the very spirit of this recognition,” said Jeremy Silverman, partner at Alston & Bird, and chairman of the Atlanta Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors. “She is a visionary leader whose passion for building community through affordable homeownership continues to create lasting impact throughout metro Atlanta. We’re incredibly proud to see her honored among Atlanta’s most influential women.”

Merrick, who joined the nonprofit affordable housing developer in 2020, leads the organization’s mission to empower generations of individuals and families through access to quality, affordable homes in safe, vibrant neighborhoods with opportunities to thrive.

Reflecting on the recognition, Merrick said: “I feel inspired and energized by the incredible women making a mark on Atlanta, and it is an honor to be recognized alongside such remarkable leaders who are helping shape a stronger, more vibrant Atlanta.”

A native Atlantan and a magna cum laude graduate of Georgia State University, Merrick’s distinguished career includes leadership roles with Georgia Community Foundation, Mount Vernon School, The Ron Clark Academy and United Way of Greater Atlanta.

Atlanta Magazine’s “Women Making a Mark” program has honored a diverse group of accomplished leaders throughout its history, including business executives, entrepreneurs, judges, physicians, attorneys, philanthropists, elected officials, nonprofit leaders and community advocates whose work strengthens communities across the region.
