Atlanta Habitat welcomes your suggestions and ideas for special events. All events held on behalf of Atlanta Habitat must be approved prior to the event. Percent of Sales Promotion
For retailers, choose a special shopping time period (day, week, month) and a percentage of the net proceeds are donated to Atlanta Habitat. This can be done with the sale of a particular retail item or an overall donation can be made from proceeds received from the promotion.
Restaurants can choose a dining time period (day, week) and a percentage of the net proceeds are donated to Atlanta Habitat. This can be done with the sale of a particular menu item or an overall donation can be made from proceeds received.
Dress Down Days
Employees make a $5 or $10 donation to Atlanta Habitat (tax deductible) and get to “dress down” on a specific day. Dress down days can be supplemented with bake sales, silent auctions and other simple activities.
Round-Up for Atlanta Habitat
Shoppers and restaurant patrons can round up their purchases to the nearest whole dollar and the round-up amount is donated to Atlanta Habitat. It is suggested that these events last for a period of at least one month in order to make a significant impact. Simply review the guidelines and complete and email the Special Event Proposal. Atlanta Habitat will get back with you within one week.
