ReStore Delivery Volunteer
Objective:
These volunteers continually refresh the ReStore’s inventory by helping to pick-up donated merchandise.
Background:
The ReStore is Atlanta Habitat's discount outlet store that sells new and gently used
home improvement materials, home accessories and other building supplies that have been donated by well-known, quality manufacturers and retail stores as well as builders and individuals.
The ReStore is open to the public, and its merchandise is discounted up to 75% off standard retail prices. All net proceeds support Atlanta Habitat’s mission to build affordable homes for working families.
Outline of Volunteer Responsibilities:

Ride in a truck with ReStore staff to pick-up items donated to the store

Help load and unload all of the donated items

Provide superior service to ReStore donors and customers

Serve as a good ambassador for Atlanta Habitat and the ReStore
Schedule
Donation pick-ups are generally scheduled Tuesdays-Fridays. Shifts are available on those days from 8:30am – 3pm.
Time Commitment:
We ask everyone who signs-up for a shift as a Delivery Volunteer to commit to working the entire shift.
Training and Support:

Volunteers review the ReStore Volunteer Training Manual immediately prior to their first shift

Volunteers receive direction and support from ReStore staff
Qualifications:

Ability to lift 50 lbs. without accommodation

Excellent customer service skills

Must be at least 16 years old

Please contact Tegan Hurley at 404-223-5180 ext. 107 or tegan.hurley@atlantahabitat.org to sign up for a shift. If you need to cancel a shift, please let her know as soon as possible so we can find another volunteer to fill your spot.

Parking is available along Loomis Avenue between Memorial Drive and Woodward Avenue.
