Traditionally, Atlanta Habitat has purchased in-fill lots, and built among existing housing stock in the City.  Due to skyrocketing property costs, we have begun to seek and buy tracts of land for more affordable prices, where we can build a community of homes and maintain affordability.  In this process, our goal is to work with for-profit builders to create mixed-income communities with variety and diversity in the neighborhood. 

We are always striving to be good stewards of the environment.  We work to preserve and plant trees, leaving as small an impact on the land as possible. Our homes are built within the City of Atlanta or Fulton County, eliminating commute hassles for families, and improving air quality through less traffic.
