Each approved applicant is given a choice of properties in two different neighborhoods (determined by Atlanta Habitat for Humanity staff), and must choose to build their house on one of those two properties. If an applicant does not select one of the two properties, he/she may re-apply to the program in one year.
Typically, houses built by Atlanta Habitat are constructed within the City of Atlanta; however, we are partnering with other local Habitat affiliates to build outside the City and Fulton County. Currently, we are partnering with Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity to build 48 homes in Jonesboro located in Clayton County.
