There are many reasons to volunteer at Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
Learn New Skills
”When I began volunteering at Atlanta Habitat, I could not drive a nail
without bending it and had a fear of heights. Now, people compete with
me to see who can drive a nail in with the least amount of hits. And the
skill that I have chosen to specialize in is roofing, which helped me to conquer
my fear of heights... Over the years, I have helped on many Blitz builds... Through
these opportunities, I now know how to build a home from the ground up.”

Make New Friends
”I was a little hesitant to come to a site by myself. But everyone
there -- the house leader, the supervisors, the homebuyer's family -- were so
nice and helpful. I now make this a monthly event.”
Associate with Great People
”I consider Habitat to be one of the finest organizations I have ever been
associated with. I completely believe in what they are doing. The
people I have encountered with Habitat are the best. The people that are
receiving the homes are hard working, good people.... [My wife and I] always
look forward to working with Habitat every chance we get.”

Give Back To The Community/Sense of Accomplishment
”It’s amazing to see at the end of the day what we've done - from
a hole in the ground one day, to a home with doors and windows another day.”
Build Bridges Between Groups
”My church group volunteered with another church from across town; I worked
with people I might never have met had it not been for Atlanta Habitat. We
had a great time.”
