Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce that the For Our Future: Building houses, building hope Capital Campaign completed successfully, raising more than $2 million over the initial goal of $4 million. More than $6 million was raised for this Campaign, including a $1 million lead gift from Campaign Chair, J. Ron Terwilliger, Chairman and CEO of Trammell Crow Residential; a $600,000 in-kind donation of land from AGL Resources; $455,500 in pledges by the Board and 100% participation from the Atlanta Habitat Management Team. Click here to see a full list of donors to this Campaign.
Through this Campaign achievement, $5 million will be used to establish a Property Bank to acquire land for future Habitat homes. One million will replenish the Faith and Community Partnership Fund which subsidizes house sponsorship fees for faith-based organizations. “The Atlanta community demonstrated its commitment to providing affordable homeownership opportunities in the City with its overwhelming support of Atlanta Habitat’s For Our Future Capital Campaign. Thanks to the generosity of the City's philanthropic community, Atlanta Habitat is better positioned to help Atlanta families achieve the American dream of homeownership and economic security. With $5 million in hand to acquire land at today's prices, Atlanta Habitat will continue to offer homeownership opportunities to working families,” states Terwilliger.
