Construction

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity takes pride in using sound construction methods and best practices for building green.  Every Atlanta Habitat home is built to energy-efficient standards.  Our adherence to sound construction practices reduces waste and minimizes material sent to landfills.  The entire construction process – design of the house, preparation of the lot, and securing of building permits – is managed by our Atlanta Habitat construction staff.

Our House Leaders

House Leaders are part of the full-time construction staff and serve as project managers on each build.  They manage all aspects of the seven-day build and ensure all tasks are completed on time using quality tools and materials.  Each House Leader works closely with the homebuyers, volunteers and sponsors for each of the builds so that everyone has a meaningful experience, has fun, and stays safe.
 
Whether building a brand new Atlanta Habitat home or renovating an existing Atlanta Habitat home, we work hard to produce affordable, quality, attractive homes for working families.
