Buildable Hours

The Buildable Hours house is a theme-house concept that Atlanta Habitat has hosted for more than ten years and has supported the construction of 15+ affordable homes for working Atlanta families.

This particular build provides law and professional services firms with a vehicle to build upon the Habitat volunteer work of associates and summer associates and involve colleagues in meaningful service opportunities. The model also helps engage small- to mid-size firms that might not have the financial and volunteer resources for larger sponsorship commitments to make a life-changing difference in the lives of a hardworking Atlanta family.

Atlanta Habitat is seeking support from law and professional service firms. We must secure commitments totaling $84,000 in financial support and just over 2,000 volunteer hours to start construction. To accomplish this, we are enlisting sponsors at the following sponsorship levels:

Foundation Level - $12,000 Sponsorship
Carpenter Level - $6,000 Sponsorship

Sponsorship helps support construction costs such as site development, building materials and permits, and necessary licensed labor (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).  The volunteer commitment provides a rewarding opportunity to take an active part in the community, work side by side with the future homeowner family, and build team and community spirit.
